The historic film is about Mughal e Azam Akbar and his son Salim..
Salim rebels and amasses an army to confront Akbar
and rescue his love Anarkali. But defeated in battle,
Salim is sentenced to death by his father..
This is the situation of the song..
Great performances by all thre main actors,Prithvi Raj Kapoor,
Dilip Kumar and Madhubala..
The film had as many as 12 songs.
Music is by Naushad and lyrics by Shakeel Badayuni..
This one is the only song of Mohd.Rafi in the movie..
